We have worked for a number of years with UK Company FiveF in the development of HOME & DRY for use in on farm preservation of mature cereals and forages in an alkaline state.
The advantages of feeding alkaline forages over acidic silages to ruminants have long been established.
Treating cereals with Home & Dry also raises the protein level of the feed to such an extent that it becomes cost neutral to use it. Home & Dry has evolved in to one of the most versatile products a farmer can use and home grown cereals are mainly conserved as Alkalage, Alkgrain and Alkastraw.
AlkabupHa
Last year we introduced a new product called AlkabupHa.
AlkabupHa is brand new technology to the market and is an alkalizer for lifting the pH of silages before the ruminant consumes it, thus having a huge influence on rumen function, food utilisation and directly tackles the issue of acidosis and SARA( Sub Acute Rumen Acidosis ). Results from on farm testing in dairy herds have shown significant increase milk yield and solids.
